Host Bulldogs 2nd in Rolla Tournament (Rolla Daily News)

The Rolla High School girls? tennis team finished second in the four-team Rolla Doubles Tournament, held Saturday at Ber Juan Park. Jefferson City Helias won the title in three of the four flights and went on to capture the team crown with 29 points. Rolla was second with 21 points, Waynesville third with 12 and Willow Springs fourth with 9.

USDA announces $19.7 million in value-added grants (High Plains Journal)

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Ed Schafer Sept. 4 announced the selection of 144 recipients in 37 states and the territory of Puerto Rico to receive more than $19 million in USDA Rural Development assistance under the Value-Added Producer Grant program.
