UNDATED - The McCain-Palin ticket is lining up county and district chairmen in Georgia. Tack Cornelius and Kris Yardley have been named co-chairs of the campaign in Hall County, and Mike Evans will serve as the 9th District chairman.

Like Cagle, Hemmer had deep roots in Hall County, and had served as a county commissioner before running in 1992 for the Senate seat being vacated by Nathan Deal. Deal was elected that year to his first term in U.S. Congress.
